Challenging turn-based battles. Deck Construction. Beautiful, stylish graphics. Domestic development. Early access.

The game is announced for platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows, Linux, macOS, Mac OS.

Post-apocalypse, in which futuristic technology, psionic powers and chthonic monsters are mixed. We play as a team of defenders of humanity who have challenged the crazy monsters who have taken over the planet.

We have gained a foothold in the last stronghold-fortress and from there we make forays, causing damage to the enemy and completing small tasks.

All evil comes from the moon, which exhibits incomprehensible activity (similar to Morrslieb from the world of Warhammer FB, only with a scientific-futuristic sauce) – it creates monsters and feeds the forces of our enemies.

The game is quite innovative and at the same time simplified turn-based combat.

The mechanics of the battle is that each of the opposing sides has a very main character who has a supply of lives and can cast a strong ult for a lot of energy. If the main character dies, the battle is lost.

There is something like champion fighters – ultori. They stand on the lines and fight like regular units, but are a little stronger than them, and can cast skills from time to time. They initially stand on the battlefield and each of them has their own deck, from which a common deck for battle is formed. Additional ultori can be unlocked by completing campaigns.

We can also place creatures on the “table” or cast spells from the decks of Ultori.

The battlefield consists of three lines along which attacks take place and four rows of cells on each side.

The principle couldn’t be simpler and at the same time elegant. As long as we have enough energy, we place creatures, apply skills, the enemy does the same. Each unit has attack and life indicators, in addition, almost everyone has a special property that also needs to be taken into account.

Along each line, our https://luckukcasino.co.uk/games/ warriors clash with the enemy by comparing the amounts of health and attacks of units on it. If the line is broken, the main character will receive damage. Therefore, to win, you need to distribute units so that your main character is protected and the enemy is killed.

For victories in battles and completing tasks, we receive resources that help us upgrade champions, units and skills from the deck.

There are several stories and a free play mode. Surprisingly, the structure of a random map is one and a half times larger than a typical campaign map.

For fully completed tasks we receive global laboratory improvement points, which allow us to discover new creatures and spells for the deck.

ABOUT SAD THROUGH THE EYES OF CANCER

As stated in the description – any casual player will understand the game. This is true. Figuring it out is a simple matter. But no one said that we would win.

A very difficult situation begins with the second campaign. As for me, tasks are sometimes designed in such a way that we can complete them only with a combination of two factors:

– Ideal Tactics. The slightest mistake is the end.

– Good cards that fit into our hand. T.e. the first point is sometimes not enough.

The task that just finished me off. We rescue people captured by monsters. The heroes are screaming – we need to save them, not hurt them. Necessary. But why the hell then are my supermen built in such a way that they are guaranteed to beat their own comrades?? After all, you can easily stand differently, two heroes – three lines. Killed this unit that needs to be protected – start over. At the same time, as luck would have it, the enemy also spams monsters that are many times stronger than both my heroes and everything in the deck. On the sixth unsuccessful approach, I simply skipped, well, that’s not possible.

I spend 2 out of 6 of my energy every turn on protecting a key unit from attacks from my own hero. Hell.

Let’s look at the pros and cons of the game and summarize.

+ Beautiful, stylish graphics.

+ Good music and sound.

+ Well designed champions and decks. Each unit has a special ability that affects combat. A good system for improving our fighters and skills.

+ Easy to learn yet challenging combat system.

+ There is replayability in the form of random missions.

+ Good Russian text localization.

THINGS THAT CAN BE BOTH A PLUS AND A MINUS:

+- In my opinion the missions are too difficult. It’s bleak when, even with a perfect game, you have to wait for a successful deal of cards. But maybe someone likes this kind of pain? In theory, some people need hardcore, well, here it is.

– Short campaigns whose length is artificially inflated due to frequent losses. As a rule, a campaign is only four battles.

A promising project in early access. If it is completed in the right way, it will be a very good game. Basic things have already been done well: graphics, heroes, units, skills, combat system.

PS: I probably didn’t cover all the aspects, I might have missed something. I will be glad to add/correct the review or answer questions along the way in the comments.
